"The Apartment 5J Parque Dona Sofia, Fuengirola is situated in an area that is conducive with peace and relaxation, it is within easy flat walking distance of the Centre of Fuengirola and its many and varied restaurants. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment is a well stocked super-market selling many English brand products. My wife and I having spent two consecutive Winter/Spring 15 week breaks in this apartment with a further similar period booked for 2006, we have no hesitation in recommending, with confidence this and other apartments administered by Scott who will ensure that your every need is catered for and with him living in the area he is available to quickly resolve any problems that may occur."

"Very enjoyable holiday. Apartment comfortable and warm, excellent supply of towels, linen and kitchen utensils. The only thing I missed was my brandy glasses but did find an adequate alternative. Airport pick-up: OK – taxis are not difficult to find at Malaga airport , but for the price of the usual taxi fare to Fuengirola (35 euros) Scott  can meet you  , provide an extra pair of hands for cases, tell you what's going on in the area (events,restaurants etc.) and is able to park beneath your apartment. This does make a difference, especially if your Spanish isn't great and the taxi driver doesn't know the area  and best of all  you're IN THE SHADE.

Apartment readiness/cleanliness: Because of a late checkout of Scott's previous clients, we had the pleasure of meeting Scott's cleaning team who are nice a British couple who are very thorough. Balcony areas in this area can get a little dusty/sandy in the course of a week , so it was easy to see that this place was pretty spotless when we arrived.

Apartment equipment level: This was a real positive – almost home from home. We usually remember to bring a few dishwasher tablets and some washing powder/tablets , but we needn't have bothered – it's all here. Also enough glasses , cutlery, crockery, pans , sharp knives ( a strange thing to mention , but you'd be surprised how many blunt and broken ones you see in apartments and you can't really bring your own anymore…..) and a corkscrew. Not to mention ; patio furniture, buckets and spades and other kid's beach toys, ironing board.

Bedrooms: Two bedrooms, all beds comfortable , even for me (6 ft. 4 ins.) and Julie (6ft 1in.) , and we not what you call light-framed. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobes and storage space. The patio window locks work too (not all apartment window locks do in our experience). Air conditioning unit works effectively , but instructions are not clear , so make sure that Scott gives you a demo to avoid unnecessary call-outs.

Bathrooms: Shower units both met my wife's high standards (I don't need to take 2 bottles into the shower any more so am much easier to please). Everything worked fine and there are plenty of towels too.

Lounge: Air-con unit very good . Furniture comfortable and functional. TV /DVD player (with some titles provided to be played) and hi-fi unit both work , although channel 4 would have been nice for the first test match from Lords. Maybe Scott has fixed this up by now…..

Kitchen: Dishwasher and washing machine easy to use (some previous flats have had units which have been a black art to work) and a nice large fridge/freezer. Ther's also an ironing board and an iron , whatever they are for……..

Outside: One of the treats of staying in Dona Sofia is to sit on the balcony in the evening or late at night with a relaxing glass of something. The only thing to watch out for is that the gardens , which are beautiful and get daily attention , get watered by spray in the evening , so it can get humid – but it's no big deal.

In summary , everything works , there's just about everything you need  , so you can travel lighter than you'd normally expect and have a thoroughly relaxing time. We recommend this apartment to you and we'll certainly be back."
